About the role

This role is a great opportunity to join a world-class fast-growing engineering team here at Cover Genius, a global insurtech company that has a vision of providing embedded insurance to the world's largest e-commerce partners. As a part of the technology team, you will be able to contribute your technical skills, experience, and ideas to help the company to build high-quality customer-friendly software products that reflect modern-day customer demands and change the insurance landscape globally.

What your working week will involve

  • Building APIs and frameworks that help us reliably provide services to our partners all over the world;
  • Work in an Agile environment and develop new features, and bug fixes work closely with team leads and product managers, designing and developing technical proposals
  • Keep updated documentation of your solutions and collaborate with other team members
  • Develop tools to effectively help internal teams and achieve the best productivity
  • Mentor junior developers when necessary

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors or higher degree in related field is required


What the ideal profile looks like

  • Experience in building B2B web APIs using Django or any other Python web framework
  • Previous experience in test-driven development
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases such as Postgres, Redis, and ElasticSearch
  • Experience in maintaining production workloads in a Linux environment
  • Experience maintaining production workloads in Linux environment in your previous role
  • Knowledge of Docker and ideally Kubernetes
